Illinois will also charge you $150 when you apply for your Concealed Carry License

Despite what the name implies, it is all day, not just at night.

If a lady comes in to utilize the range, we charge her half price for her range fees and she gets two free rentals*.

You are free to leave whenever you want. The longer you stay, the more chances you get to go through the course.

This new Thursday event will be held on the second and fourth Thursdays on the month, running from 5 PM until the range closes.
We’ll have the lights off down range and provide a light to you to keep in your booth and controlled by you.

Once you’re done participating, you can hop in an open lane on our regular range for no additional cost.

Certified Instructors(USCCA). As required by the State of Illinois, the 16 hour class is

divided into two(2) days, of 8 hours each.

The classes are divided into Phase 1 and Phase 2. To receive the maximum training

experience the classes are intended to be taken in order. You will be required to take one

of each class.

USCCA Phase 1: In phase 1 we will discuss;

Developing a Home and Personal Protection Plan
Self-defense Firearm Basics
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
Proper operation and ammunition
Safety, Safety, Safety

to complete this Phase 1 class. If you have your own eye and ear protection please feel

free to bring them with you, if not, they are available for purchase. You may find it helpful to bring a notebook and writing

instrument for note taking. Snacks/refreshments are allowed in class and there will be a

lunch period. Phase 1 is also an excellent stand alone class designed to teach/refresh firearm safety,

firearm handling, firearm actions and ammunition and much more.

USCCA Phase 2: In Phase 2 we will discuss

Legal Use of Force
Violent Encounters and the Aftermath
Basic and Advanced Skills
Illinois Concealed Carry Rules and Regulations
In Phase 2 there will be a shooting session requiring you

to supply you own firearm approved by the State of Illinois (any handgun designed to be

shot with one hand fits the state requirement) as a conceal carry firearm. You may rent

a firearm from our gun shop at a rate of $12.00 plus the cost of ammunition. You will be

required to take 30 shots in Phase 2, we suggest you bring extra ammunition. Most

ammunition calibers are available at our well stocked gun range. You should bring your

own eye and ear protection. There

will be a lunch period available and snacks/refreshments are welcome in the classroom.

Again it may be helpful for you to bring a notebook and writing instrument for note

taking. There will NOT be a practice session in Phase 2.

Pricing: The cost for one person to take both Phases is $199.00

Phase 1 is $100.00

Phase 2 is $99.00

3 Hour Re-Certification is $50.00

Cost for Veterans is $99.00

Regardless of any prior service/certification all 16 hours (Phase 1 & 2) must be taken to receive USCCA CCW Completion

*if for any reason, you are legally not allowed to posses a firearm (i.e. felon, mental illness, domestic abuse, etc) you shall not be allowed to participate in the groupon*

Our goal is to provide maximum pleasure and excitement, with as little cost to you as possible. Please read the “Finer Points” and FAQ’s before emailing your questions as phone calls will not be accepted.

Q: Do I need a gun card (FOID card) ?

A: No, your personal instructor will supervise you and act as your “gun card”.

Q: Do I need to make a reservation?

A: Yes, and all reservations must be done on line at www.article2range.com.

Q: How long is the classroom portion?

A: Approximately 30 min.

Q: How long is the shooting portion?

A: Approximately 30 min.

Q: What kind of guns will I shoot?

A: You will shoot a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol. You will shoot up to 25 rounds of .38 special and up to 25 rounds of 9mm.

Q: Are there any restricted days or times?

A: No, but book your reservation early as weekends fill up fast. Friday, Saturday, & Sundays are full 2-3 weeks in advance.

Q: The date or time I want is not allowing me to book it, why?

A: Because the date or time slot is full.

Q: How many bullets do we get to shoot?

A: You will shoot up to 25 round 38 special and up to 25 rounds of 9mm.

Q: Can we buy more bullets?

A: Yes, time permitting, remember you have 1 hour to complete the safety class and the shooting portion.

Q: I’m at work and can’t book a reservation, do you know why?

A: Yes, you are at work, your terminal may be blocking our reservation site.

Q: Should I bring my voucher?

A: You must supply your voucher either in printed form or on your cell phone.

Q: Do I need to purchase anything else after I buy the coupon?

A: No, everything is included.

Q: What if I cannot make my scheduled appointment?

A: We do not reschedule, please make sure you pick the time and date you can make it before reserving a date and time, your class will be considered used if you do not make it.

Q: What if we cannot speak English?

A: Communication is extremely important especially during a safety

class. We must be able to communicate with everyone in the class. Email us at article.ii@gunworlrange.com for arrangements if you do not speak English fluently.

Q: Can we shoot our own guns?

A: No, for safety concerns.

Q: What if we want to shoot guns not included in the Groupon?

A: An additional charge may be incurred.

Q: Can we just walk in?

A: NO. You must book an appointment online.

Q: Do I need an ID?

A: Yes. All participants need a photo ID.

Q: What time should I show up?

A: 15 minutes before your scheduled time.

Q: What if we are late?

A: Your 1 hour class starts at your appointed time, if you are late it will be deducted from your 1 hour.
